Repair Instructions

The following procedure explains the recommended method of removing and replacing the accelerator pedal assembly including the accelerator switch on your electric toy.

Note: If you have a unit made from 2012-2015 that had 2 switches you will not need the jumper wire that connected the two switches.

WARNING: Disconnect the battery prior the beginning this procedure.

  1. Remove the accelerator pedal assembly. Use a flat blade screwdriver to pop the rear edge of the pedal plate up, freeing the rear edge mounting tabs from the toy.
  2. Pull the forward edge of the pedal plate out from under the wire harness guard. Pull the pedal assembly away from the toy.
  3. Disconnect (3) wires from the underside of the accelerator switch(s). Discard the accelerator pedal assembly.
  4. Connect wires to (3) terminals. Be sure connectors are fully seated.
  5. Insert the forward edge of the pedal plate under the wire harness guard. Push down on the rear edge to snap the pedal plate tabs back into the toy floorboard.
  6. Connect the battery. Test the vehicle. If vehicle does not operate, check all electrical connections and retest.
