1. Unlock your seat and lift up.
  2. A: Lift compartment cover off. Slide box up to free from slit. B: Disconnect battery connection.
  3. Unplug the accelerator from the circuit board, noted as A in picture, and place inside the compartment.
  4. Pry the outer edge of the accelerator pedal base from the unit.
  5. Turn unit on side with the accelerator pedal up. The tab arrows point to the side of the plastic connection. Press in the tabs and pull gently up on the pedal base on the other side to dislodge.
  6. Follow the wires from the accelerator to a clamp. A is a closer image of the clamp holding the wires to the unit. Take your thumb and push back and forth on the nub of the clamp to release.
  7. Pull the accelerator wire out from underneath the unit.
  8. Go to the front of the unit. Disconnect the red, white and blue wires from the accelerator pedal. Remove the pedal plate from the unit pulling the long accelerator wire out.
  9. Push in the two lower tabs and push pedal switch through the plate. Remove pedal switch completely.
  10. On the old switch, remove the high/low lockout, by removing the screw and attach to new accelerator pedal.
  11. Place the new accelerator wire through the pedal plate. Slide the front tab into place as shown by the arrow. Snap lower tabs into the plate.
  12. Insert the end of the accelerator wire through the hole. Plug in the wires according to the side view.
  13. Insert the inner tabs of the pedal plate into the unit. Finish snapping the front tabs into place.
  14. Gather the two wire sheaths and place inside clamp and snap into slits in base. Then thread the accelerator wire through the hole that is right below the clamp.
  15. Set the unit back on all four tires. Go inside the circuit board compartment and reach in for the loose accelerator wire. Plug accelerator wire into the circuit board.
  16. Slide the circuit board box into the slit holder.
  17. Place compartment cover. Connect the battery to the toy.
  18. Close seat and lock.
