POPULAR KIDS CAR REPLACEMENT PARTS

The following procedure explains the recommended method of removing and replacing the bucket on your Excavator toy.

1. The bucket is held in place on the bucket arms at points. In addition, the bucket tilt rod attaches on the right side only. At 3 mounting points remove the pressed-on cap. Pull the bucket tilt rod end out of its bucket mounting point.
2. Under the bucket at the bucket arm attaching point, detach the spring and remove the pin and spring. Remove the other bucket mounting pin also. Remove and discard the bucket.
3. Position the new bucket on the bucket arms. Insert the pins and insert the bucket tilt rod. Both ends of the spring must be captured. Using the installation tool provided, press cap on at each mounting point and at the tilt rod end.
4. Test the toy. Be sure the bucket is mounted securely to the toy.

The following procedure explains the recommended method of removing and replacing the electric motors on your Gaucho Grande electric toy.

WARNING: Disconnect and remove the battery prior to beginning this procedure. This procedure is best accomplished by turning the toy over so the underbody faces up.

1. Remove the red center cap from either rear wheel.
2. Remove the lock nut and washer. It will be necessary to hold the nut at the opposite end of the axle. Otherwise the axle will turn freely. Remove the wheel.
3. At the opposite end of the axle, pull the axle and wheel out of the toy.
4. At the rear of the toy, over the simulated coil springs, locate and remove (2) suspension pan covers screws.
5. Lift and swing the suspension pan cover to its open position.
6. At each rear wheel remove (3) screws that hold the motor mounting disk and the motor to the suspension pan. Note: The motor will fall away as the screws are removed.
7. At each motor detach the motor cover from the gear housing. Disconnect (2) wires from each motor. Discard old motors. Do not discard motor cover and screws. Install a a motor cover on each new motor.
8. Position a new motor for installation. Be sure the locator pin on the motor is seated in the locator pin hole in the suspension pan, and the mounting posts stick through the suspension pan to accept the motor mounting disk.
9. Position the motor mounting disk and attach it to the motor mounting post using (3) screws. Be sure the screws are fully tightened. Repeat procedure to install opposite motor.
10. Attach motor wires:

Passenger side: black wire to terminal with red dot, white to the other terminal.

Driver side: Red wire to the terminal with red dot, blue to the other terminal.

11. Insert the axle/wheel. If the toy has an axle cover, hold it in position between the motors and slide the axle through it. Rotate the wheel if necessary to seat the hex drive on the motor into the hex shaped wheel hub.
12. Slide the opposite wheel onto the axle. Secure with the lock nut and washer. Install the center cap.
13. Swing the suspension pan cover closed and secure it with (2) screws.
14. Turn the toy upright, install and connect the battery. Test the toy.

HOW TO CHANGE THE MOTOR GEARBOX IN YOUR RZR

1. Take a flat screw driver and prior the hub cap off both rear wheels.
2. Place a wrench or pliers on 1 wheel and a wrench or ratchet on the wheel you wishto remove. You will need to hold the opposite side nut in place while turning the nut on the wheel you are trying to remove. If you have a long enough arm span, 1 person can hold and remove. But it is easier to have a person hold the nut in place while you are removing the nut on the other side.
3. Remove the wheel. Caution: Do not loose your washer on top of the wire.
4. Remove the 4 screws on the motor gearbox cover. There are 2 tabs on the long ends that you can push in to remove the cover.
5. Slowly pull out the motor gearbox so that you can reach your hand in to gently pull off the motor wires from the motor prongs. Remove from axle.
6. Remove the two screws that hold the motor to the gearbox.
7. Lift off the metal spacer from your old motor.
8. Place the spacer onto your new motor matching up the screw holes, making sure the spacer is flat against the motor. If the spacer is not flat, flip the spacer over so that the pegs are up.
9. Place screw through gearbox and line up the screw through the spacer and into motor. Also insert pegs into hole. Tighten screw. Insert second screw and tighten.
10. Note: There is a red dot by one of the prongs on your motor. Attach the blue or white wire to this prong. There should be white and black colored wires for one wheel and blue and red wires for the other wheel.
11. Slide the new motor gearbox onto the axle, noting what prong has the red dot. Attach the blue or white wire to the red dot prong and the red or black to the other motor prong. Caution: Be careful not to break off the motor prong when sliding on the motor wire.
12. Make sure your battery is hooked up and the wheel can turn without moving the vehicle. Press on the gas pedal and confirm that the internal gears are turning forward. If you are not sure which direction the gear is turning, slide your wheel onto the axle until the wheel sets inside of the gearbox. Press the gas pedal and confirm that the wheel is going forward. If the gears or wheel are going backwards, remove the wheel and left up the motor gearbox and exchange the 2 wires around. Remove the tire.
13. Snap the motor gearbox cover into place. Insert the four screws.
14. Place your wheel on the axle and rotate tire until settles into the gears. Place metal washer onto the axle.
15. Screw nut on axle. Remember to hold the other wheels nut in place to tighten this nut.
16. Pop on both rear wheel hubcaps by inserting tabs into the holes.
